Paula, Bill, Dave and Dad (Will)

These intrepid fourwheelers were taken on a tour by tourguide Will Thomas up into the tops of the mountains to see a charcoal kiln, a ghost town, and a mine. They said the mountains and lakes were just beautiful. I would never have driven it alone, and thought Paula was very brave to do so. (Actually, once you are there, there's not much choice but to go on.) I visited my girls in Utah while they were fourwheeling.
Way to go, Paula!
You look great!!

Fort Worth

We went to the Dallas Aquarium and had pictures taken with the Mayan dancers.

Becky took us to Cheesecake Factory for dinner, a place where I had longed to go for years. We drove to downtown Ft. Worth to Reunion Tower, but it was closed. However, when we walked through the Marriott to get there, we found they were having an AnimeFest. That was quite an education for a couple of grandparents to see people dressed in elaborate costumes as cartoon characters.

On Sunday Greg was ordained an Elder (one of the reasons for our trip). We were so happy to be there for that. That night we had a long FHE on being a missionary and "Preach My Gospel" since Scott will be leaving on a mission in Canada next month. Ben was very kind to let us use his bedroom, and we each gained several pounds from all the good food we ate. It was a wonderful visit.

Ally's Birthday Party

The day of Ally's birthday swim party turned out cold and windy, so Grandma Thomas had fun helping her plan games that she and her friends could play at the house instead. Duke enjoyed the party as the only guy and it was fun to watch Bailey playing and dancing with girls two to three times her age. We were so thankful to be a part of this special day. Thanks for inviting us, Angie and Will.

Vist to Boise/Nampa

We had a delicious barbecue at Scott's new home on Friday night. During the afternoon we had hoped to go to Lucky Peak, but it was too cold so we went to Wazoo's instead. We played miniature golf and watched the boys ride the go-carts and play laser tag. Will and I slept in KyAnne's room with Bailey, who had come with us for a quick visit with her cousins and aunts and uncles.

Scott brings his family to Blackfoot this summer

Scott and Cindy are still very much in love and have a date every Friday night. (and cell phones are turned off)

We went to Jenson's Grove Beach and played frisbee, volleyball, gave Bailey rides in the inflatable rubber raft, and ate.

At home Matt, Scotty, and Kade rode the fourwheeler round and round the pasture. At one point, it even crashed into the fence, but Will, Scott and Joel were able to repair it. (the fourwheeler, that is) We also watched "Forever Strong," a fantastic movie.

Then they were off to West Yellowstone to go camping in our trailer and exploring the area. We loved having them here, and it was so much fun to cook for hungry and appreciative grandsons.
